According to NZ's Radio Sport website, Sharks coach John Plumtree's put his hand up for the services of the unwanted Hurricanes midfielder.

Plumtree, who used to coach Nonu in the Wellington Lions, says they want the All Black, but they're realistic about their chances.

But he says Nonu will probably want to stay in New Zealand.

The Sharks won't arrive in New Zealand until Thursday ahead of Saturday's Super Rugby playoff against the Crusaders in Nelson. Kick-off is at 09:35 SA time.
