Cape Town - The Sharks are sweating over the availability of centre Paul Jordaan ahead of their Super Rugby semi-final against the Stormers at Newlands this weekend.
Die Burger reports that the Durbanites are nevertheless optimistic that Jordaan will recover from the hamstring injury he picked up against the Reds over the weekend. He formed a formidable centre partnership with Tim Whitehead and also scored a spectacular try in Brisbane to help his team win 30-17.
However, it looks less likely that fullback Patrick Lambie will recover from his ankle problems in time.
Coach John Plumtree also stressed that the travel factor can't be used as an excuse for the Stormers game.
"As the week progresses everyone will start feeling better and by Saturday they will be raring to go.
"We obviously have to be clever in our preparations. Everyone talks about the travel factor, but we knew we'd have to travel if we were to make the playoffs, the only issue was, whereto.
"I think it's a long road, but it's nice to come home and the guys are really upbeat about their prospects."
The clash at Newlands kicks off at 17:05 on Saturday.
