The stadium will now be known as Growthpoint Kings Park.
Sharks chief executive Brian van Zyl said he was delighted a deal could be agreed upon.
"We welcome Growthpoint properties to The Sharks family, and we thank them for their investment in our brand," Van Zyl said.
"We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership."
Sport24 reported more than two weeks ago that the Sharks were poised to make the announcement following a few misplaced photos on their website, which were later taken off.
Meanwhile, the Sharks' marketing manager Michael Ablett echoed Van Zyl's sentiments.
"We are very excited to have a company of Growthpoint's pedigree on board as stadium naming rights sponsor. Both our brands have enjoyed vast success over the years and we look forward to the joint success of this new and exciting partnership," added Ablett.
After a two-year stint, previous sponsor Mr Price saw out their short-term deal, which came to an end at the beginning of the year, after taking over the naming rights to the stadium in 2011.
Previously, banking giants Absa’s sponsorship had spanned 11 years, which included two five-year terms and a one-year add-on, before they opted to end their association with the Sharks and focused on sponsoring the Springboks.
