Cape Town - Brendan Venter is set to leave his post as Sharks Director of Rugby, paving the way for the appointment of Jake White.
Die Burger reported last week that White will become the new Director of Coaching at the Sharks, but at the time uncertainty surrounded whether Venter would stay on at the union.
Speculation was that he would stay on as a consultant to the Sharks, similar to the role he still performs with English club Saracens.
However, according to the SA Rugbymag website, Venter will leave the Sharks after this year's Currie Cup to spend more time at his medical practice in Strand, near Cape Town.
Venter reportedly only agreed to work with the Durbanites until the end of October.
White is almost certain now to sign a two-year contract with the Sharks that would allow him to leave the union at the end of 2015, as it is well-known that he wants to coach at international level again.
