SARU delays final S15 decision

Johannesburg - The SA Rugby Union (SARU) on Thursday evening announced that the ordinary general meeting scheduled for July 13 has been postponed.

It was at this meeting that a final decision would have been made on who the five SA franchises for the 2013 season should be. The Southern Kings have been guaranteed a spot in the 2013 season's SA conference, while the participation of the other four teams still had to be decided.

SARU said in a statement that the meeting was postponed on request from the majority of the provincial unions.

It did not say when the meeting would be rescheduled.
