Reds win Battle of Brisbane

Cape Town - The Reds have beaten the Blues in a tight Super Rugby encounter at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Friday.

The Reds won 12-11 after trailing 11-9 at half-time.

Flyhalf Quade Cooper landed four penalties for the Reds, while the Blues responded with a try by centre Jackson Willison and a penalty apiece by flyhalf Chris Noakes and wing Albert Nikoro.

The Reds picked up four points for their victory to go top of both the Australian Conference and the Overall log.

The Blues picked up a point for losing by seven or fewer points, and remained top of the NZ Conference and second in the Overall standings.

In next weekend's Round 12 action, the Reds travel to Perth to face the Force (Saturday, May 4 at 11:40) while the Blues host the Stormers in Albany on Friday, May 3 at 09:35.
