Reds snatch last-gap victory

Cape Town - The Reds have beaten the Waratahs in their all-Australian Conference Round 1 Super Rugby match in Sydney on Saturday.

The Reds won 25-21 after leading 12-8 at half-time.

The Reds scored an injury time match-winning try through wing Dom Shipperley, while flyhalf Mike Harris kicked the conversion and six penalties.

The Waratahs replied with two tries through scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius and No 8 Wycliff Palu. Flyhalf Daniel Halangahu was on target with a conversion and three penalties.

In next weekend's Round 2 action, the Waratahs travel to Melbourne to face the Rebels, while the Reds host the Force in Brisbane.
