Rebels sign Sexton for 2014

Sydney - Melbourne-born Tom Sexton, who has played most of his rugby in Ireland for Leinster, will return to Australia to play Super Rugby in 2014 for the Rebels, the club said Wednesday.

Hooker Sexton, a former Irish schoolboy captain, said he was looking forward to returning to Australia, the country he left when he was four.

"I am really looking forward to it, I am obviously a little bit nervous about moving to the other side of the world again, but it is definitely very exciting," he said.

Sexton was expected to arrive at the club at the end of the 2013 season.
