Sydney - SANZAR has reserved judgment in the misconduct case against Adam Byrnes for criticising Waratahs center Tom Carter, who accused the Rebels lock of eye-gouging in a Super Rugby game.
The southern hemisphere rugby body says the case was heard on Tuesday.
Byrnes had a 10-week ban for making contact with Carter's eye area in the March 2 game overturned on appeal. He then labelled the center's accusations "a disgrace" for "bringing another player down and potentially ruining their livelihood."
The new charge was laid against Byrnes for breaking rules that don't allow players to publicly criticise other players or referees.
