Ranger back for Blues

Wellington - The Blues have delayed a decision over whether goalkicker Lachie Munro or All Black Rene Ranger will start on the left wing in their Super 15 rugby semi-final against the Reds on Saturday.

Coach Pat Lam said he faced a tough choice between Ranger, who is returning from a two week layoff with a hamstring injury, and Munro who kicked 16 points in the Blues' 26-13 win over the Waratahs in last weekend's elimination qualifier. Munro suffered bruised ribs in that match but is expected to be fit for selection.

Lam said he would wait until the Blues arrived in Brisbane on Thursday before confirming his match XV by deciding who will start in the No 11 jersey.
