Quintet extend Cheetahs stay

Cape Town - Five promising players have opted to extend their stay at the Cheetahs.

According to Netwerk24, loose forward Boom Prinsloo, wing Raymond Rhule, lock Carl Wegner, centre Francois Venter and loose forward Tienie Burger have all opted to extend their contracts in Bloemfontein.

The players' agent, BC du Plessis, confirmed that the quintet will be available to the Cheetahs for two more years - until the end of 2017.

The news will be welcomed by Cheetahs fans, especially after the recent announcement that fullback Willie le Roux, utility back Joe Pietersen (both Sharks) and flank Heinrich Brussow (Docomo Red Hurricanes, Japan) are lost to the union.
