    Pietersen moves to Biarritz

    2013-06-14 17:30
Cape Town - According to the representative of Joe Pietersen the Stormers fullback has completed his move to French Top 14 side, Biarritz.

Pietersen has played in France before, when he left Western Province for Bayonne in 2010, before returning to the Cape a year later.

The news was confirmed via his representative, Jason Smith's Twitter account.

    "(sic)Joe Pietersen to Biarritz. Done. @top14 @WorldArtists_SA @Silent1_AJ @DaneGalley @ovalprom," Smith tweeted.

Pietersen's departure may well mean that Western Province Rugby will move to make injured fullback Jaco Taute's stay in the Cape a more permanent one.
