1 change to Lions starting XV

Johannesburg - Lions coach Johan Ackermann has named his 23-man team to face the Reds in a Super Rugby clash at Ellis Park on Saturday.

According to the Lions' official website, Ackermann opted for continuity, making just one change to his starting team from the one which beat the Blues 39-36 last week.

Up front, Willie Wepener will start in place of the injured Robbie Coetzee.

Meanwhile, on the bench, Mark Pretorius comes into the squad after performing well in the junior ranks. He will provide cover at hooker. Another promising junior figure, Stephan de Wit, will also look to earn his first Super Rugby cap. This after Warwick Tecklenburg failed a concussion test this week.

Additionally, utility back Lionel Mapoe has recovered from his hamstring strain and will also provide cover on the bench, with Elton Jantjies dropping out.

The match will kick off at 17:05.
