Cape Town - All Black centre Ma'a Nonu is set to announce his post-World Cup playing future, with the Blues believed to be his next team.

According to the website stuff.co.nz, the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) has confirmed that an announcement from Nonu is "imminent".

The NZRU has had an offer in front of Nonu for well over a month and it appears a deal has been made to keep the 29-year-old in New Zealand.

Nonu was axed by his home franchise, the Hurricanes, after falling out with coach Mark Hammett.

Hammett claimed Nonu was disrupting the team environment.

The player suggested at the time that it may be best to head overseas, but the Blues appear to have won the All Black star's services.
