Cape Town - In some good news for the Stormers following their winless tour of Australasia, fullback Gio Aplon hasn't fractured his elbow as initially feared.

Aplon was forced to leave the field in the 23rd minute against the Reds in Brisbane on Saturday, in obvious pain, with fears he'd be out of action for the remainder of the tournament.
However, coach Allister Coetzee on Sunday confirmed there was no fracture to the star fullback's left arm, and he should be back in action between 'six and eight' weeks.
Gio dislocated his left elbow and, at this stage, it seems that he will be out of action for six to eight weeks," said Coetzee.
"It's obviously a blow to lose someone of his ability and experience, but one bit of solace is that it's not a fracture.
The Stormers lost 22-17 to the Reds and play the Waratahs at Newlands on Saturday, April 5 (kick-off 19:10) in their next match.
