Niggles hassle a few Stormers

Cape Town - A few Stormers players will miss their friendly against the Bulls on Saturday due to a heavy pre-season workload.

The Stormers announced on Monday that props Brok Harris and Pat Cilliers, lock Manuel Carizza and fullback Jaco Taute won't be considered for the game in Polokwane. They all have a bit of muscle tightness after their pre-season workload.

Meanwhile, lock De Kock Steenkamp (groin) is still unavailable and could miss the start of the 2014 Super Rugby season.

Coach Allister Coetzee will take 26 players to Polokwane for Saturday's game, which kicks off at 17:00.

The team to take on the Bulls will be announced on Wednesday at lunch-time.

After the Bulls game, the Stormers play two more pre-season games - against the Kings (Port Elizabeth, February 7) and Boland (Wellington, February 15).

They start their season-proper against the Lions in Johannesburg on February 22.
