Cape Town - The Kings are likely to field a new halfback pairing in their Super Rugby clash against Jake White's Brumbies in Canberra on Friday.
According to Die Burger's website, regular scrumhalf Shaun Venter is expected to be picked on the bench. He injured his ankle in their 46-30 loss to the Hurricanes last week and the Kings coaches are unlikely to risk him in the starting line-up.
"I'm expected to be on the bench rather that the starting team," the 26-year-old said.
Regular flyhalf Demetri Catrakilis could also find himself amongst the reserves after picking up a slight knee injury.
This will see George Whitehead, who played fullback last week, move into the No 10 slot with Argentina's Nicolas Vergallo at scrumhalf.
The Kings' clash against the Brumbies kicks off at 10:40 (SA time) on Friday.
