New boots for Eben Etzebeth

Cape Town - Springbok and Stormers lock Eben Etzebeth will further his career in a highly innovative new Canterbury boot.

Since 1904 Canterbury has helped produce several legends of the game, including legends like Josh Kronfeld, Zinzan Brooke, Stephan Larkham and South Africa’s very own Victor Matfield and Bryan Habana.

Now, Canterbury has added rising world star Eben Etzebeth, 21, to its player stable.

Etzebeth, who has 13 Stormers and 11 Springbok caps to his name, will now play in a highly innovative new Canterbury boot range which has been developed with all the technical aspects and requirements of the modern day athlete in mind.

Says Etzebeth: “I am honoured to partner with an internationally recognised brand and look forward to the exciting times ahead with Canterbury. If the boot fits... !”

Canterbury, in conjunction with Etzebeth, has developed the ultimate forward specific boot. Forwards now benefit from the latest technology and innovation in both 8-stud and 6-stud boots, as well as an improved last, resulting in better comfort and fit.

Most noteworthy in this case is that the Forward Boots have an outsole which has been specifically designed to provide greater traction, grip, power and stability.

Emphasis has also been placed on aesthetics, as Canterbury has taken steps to modernize the this new and improved boot range which has, in turn, seen a sales increase of 35- 40% year on year, proving that an eye-catching boot sells.
