Muliaina on the wing for Chiefs

Cape Town - The Chiefs have announced their team to play the Western Force in Perth on Saturda.

It will be the the first match of their overseas Super Rugby tour, with game against the Bulls and Cheetahs to follow.

In the forwards Mike Fitzgerald starts at lock and Sam Cane will have his first start of the official Super Rugby season having returned back from injury.

In the backs, Asaeli Tikoirotuma reclaims the No 11 jersey with Tim Nanai-Williams joining the newly capped Tom Marshall in the midfield and All Black centurion Mils Muliaina takes his place on the other wing.

Kane Thompson, Tanerau Latimer, Augustine Pulu and Andrew Horrell are all added to the reserve bench alongside 18-year-old Anton Lienert-Brown who will become the eighth player to make his Super Rugby debut for the Chiefs this season.

“We encounter a Western Force team that is in a confident mood and a team we have struggled to put away in the past so it is a challenge the boys are looking forward to," coach Dave Rennie told Chiefs' official website.

Kick-off at NIB Stadium is scheduled for 13:00 (SA time) on Saturday.
