Ludeke names unchanged side

2012-04-18 12:44

Pretoria - The Bulls have kept their run-on side unchanged for their Super Rugby match against the Brumbies at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

Coach Frans Ludeke, however, is still sweating over the availability of prop Dean Greyling.

Greyling will be assessed by the Bulls medical team later in the week.

If the prop does not recover from a bruised shoulder in time, Ludeke will hand Dawie Steyn a Super Rugby debut.

Gerrit-Jan van Velze will replace flank Dewald Potgieter on the bench.

Teams:

Bulls: 15 Zane Kirchner, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 JJ Engelbrecht, 12 Wynand Olivier, 11 Bjorn Basson, 10 Morne Steyn, 9 Francois Hougaard, 8 Pierre Spies (captain), 7 Jacques Potgieter, 6 CJ Stander, 5 Wilhelm Steenkamp, 4 Juandre Kruger, 3 Werner Kruger, 2 Chiliboy Ralepelle, 1 Dean Greyling/Dawie Steyn.

Substitutes: 16 Bongi Mbonambi, 17 Frik Kirsten, 18 Gerrit-Jan van Velze, 19 Arno Botha, 20 Jano Vermaak, 21 Louis Fouche, 22 Johann Sadie.

Aah, glad to see monster Dawie Steyn's name (in case Dean cannot make it), also happy to see JJ gets another opportunity. Go my Bulls, go and smack those Aussies!!!

      Saffa - 2012-04-18 12:50

PS: In case MacGuyver doesn't make it you mean? Dean's real name of course.................That has to be the absolute top end of plankdom Rene, sorry, but who the f##k names their kid 'Macguyver'.

      Terence - 2012-04-18 12:50

      Taking shape nicely.

      Ren%c3%a9 - 2012-04-18 12:54

@Saffa, isn't his nickname "wors' or something??? I don't know why people mess with names like that, remember 'Draadkar de Lange? Baksteen ???, Different strokes ....

      Saffa - 2012-04-18 13:00

@Rene - His real name genuinely is MacGuyver. Sheez yes there have been some shocking examples of 'names gone wrong' over the years.

      Ren%c3%a9 - 2012-04-18 13:09

@Saffa, these things make the 'world go round and round and round' - Anyway, good luck Macguyver Worsie, hope he gets back on the park soon!

      Deon - 2012-04-18 13:27

I see Macguyver is making a comeback on SABC3, the program is nearly 30 years old.

      Raymond - 2012-04-18 13:50

And the real Macguyver's name was Richard Dean Anderson. Spot the link.

      Ren%c3%a9 - 2012-04-18 13:56

@Airborne, Dean was born in 1986, the series started 1985 'Dean Macguyver' mystery solved!!! Parents must've been HUGE fans

      Japjapjap - 2012-04-18 14:50

    1.4 million on the bench...........

      Lionel - 2012-04-18 12:50

      LMAO@Saffa!!!

      Ren%c3%a9 - 2012-04-18 12:50

@Saffa, not so bad - he will get his time to shine. Die koppie pla so bietjie, ek hoop net Morne se kop werk beter die naweek!

      Terence - 2012-04-18 12:53

Waste of money if you ask me. Sadie looked pretty good in a WP jersey, but then again so did Earl Rose.

      Saffa - 2012-04-18 13:06

@Rene - Morne se 'pale toe' sal regkom. Ek is net genuine bly om te sien hoeveel keer Morne die bal PASS deesdae. He is steadily improving on his running/attacking game (and I think he had to in order to remain a viable option as Bok 10)

      Ren%c3%a9 - 2012-04-18 13:11

@Saffa, dis waar, hy moet nou net die 2 dingetjies bymekaar bring and 'BOB'S YOUR UNCLE'.

      Nic - 2012-04-18 14:06

Saffa, Morne has always been a classier, more tactical AND attacking 10 than anything you ever had down in the Mountain Shadow. He certainly shats on Grant in every aspect. What makes you think you can have a brain fart on the Bulls' style of play when your own has been absolutely fruitless? You copy and learn from us, not the other way around. Stormers moving from backline orientated game to forwards orientated. Fact. See ya.

      Saffa - 2012-04-18 14:13

@Nic - my comment was made in relevance to the Boks old chap. Morne has to evolve to evade the Goosen chase......Meyer wants to play 'open rugby', as he mentioned time and time again when he was STILL with the Bulls end of last year (remember him saying that? And remember him explaining why he bought certain players? Ahh, has the lightbulb gone on yet????). SO: of Saint Meyer was saying this December last year, why would he suddenly change his mind about 'evolving the game' now he is with the Boks? Just asking......Seeeeeeeeeee ya (wouldn't want to be yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)
