Lobberts on Cheetahs bench

Cape Town - Springbok forward Hilton Lobberts has been picked on the Cheetahs bench for their clash against his former team, the Stormers, at Newlands on Saturday.

Lobberts, who played two Tests for the Springboks in 2006 and 2007, replaces lock Waltie Vermeulen in one of  two changes made to the Cheetahs bench. Scrumhalf Tian Meyer also comes in for Renier Botha.

Both Lobberts and Meyer formed part of the victorious Griquas team which thumped the Golden Lions in last Friday's Vodacom Cup final in Kimberley.

Meanwhile, coach Naka Drotské made no changes to his run-on team which beat the Brumbies 27-21 in Bloemfontein last week.

Wing Raymond Rhule is still struggling with an ankle injury, which means Riaan Smit retains his place on the bench.

Kick-off for Saturday's clash at Newlands is at 17:05.
