Johannesburg - A SANZAR Judicial Hearing has found Lions flank Michael Rhodes not guilty of foul play after an incident during last Saturday's Super Rugby match between the Lions and the Stormers in Johannesburg.
Rhodes was called to face the hearing after being cited for an alleged late and dangerous charge on Stormers fullback Conrad Jantjes during the first half of the match.
After reviewing additional, unaired television footage presented by the Lions that showed the incident from an alternative angle, SANZAR Judicial Officer Peter Ingwersen was satisfied that Rhodes had shown no malice in his actions and the charges against the player were subsequently dropped.
The hearing was held at the Golden Lions Rugby Union in Johannesburg.
