Lessons learnt on tour for Cheetahs
Cape Town - Cheetahs captain Francois Uys says harsh lessons were learnt on their Australasian Super Rugby tour.
The men from Bloemfontein finish their tour with a clash against the Force in Perth on Saturday and are desperate to end on a high note.
The Cheetahs started with a 57-14 loss to the Crusaders in Christchurch, before going down to the Chiefs (37-27, Hamilton) and Brumbies (20-3, Canberra).
“We didn’t get the results we wanted, but we believe that we’ll learn as a team from this tour and become wiser,” Uys told Netwerk24.
“We played against three teams with a lot of experience and game-breakers. It was definitely not an easy tour.”
Uys has called for more accuracy from his charges ahead of the Force duel.
“We’ll have to vary our play a bit more and make fewer errors on attack.”
Saturday’s clash at nib Stadium kicks off at 13:45 (SA time).
