Lambie hits Mauritius beach

Port Louis - Bok and Sharks flyhalf Patrick Lambie has taken time out during his injury-enforced absence to soak up the sunshine on the beaches of Mauritius.

The 23-year-old was in Mauritius to participate in a shoot for underwear brand Jockey SA, one of his sponsors.

Lambie was ruled out for the rest of the season with a torn bicep earlier this season during the Super Rugby competition.

He will be gutted to have missed out on the Springboks' commanding 38-16 win against Wales last weekend, but had this message for his team-mates:

"Wishing @bokrugby everything of the best for the game #humdinger #SSRugby"

Lambie retweeted the pic of himself enjoying his time on a Mauritius beach.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
