Lambie boost for Sharks

Cape Town - Flyhalf Pat Lambie is expected to be ready for the Sharks when they tackle the Reds in a Super Rugby clash in Durban on Saturday.

Lambie was withdrawn from last Saturday’s game against the Lions due to tick-bite fever but according to the Sharks’ official website, his condition has improved considerably.

He participated in training on Tuesday morning and is expected to be available for selection.

Meanwhile, the Sharks also confirmed that centre Paul Jordaan has undergone a scope to his knee and is expected to be out of action for a month.

Wing JP Pietersen is also back after completing his commitments in Japan. His team, Panasonic Wild Knights, defeated defending champions, Suntory Goliath, (fellow Springbok Fourie du Preez’s side) 45-22 to win the Top League title.

Kick-off for Saturday’s game at Kings Park is scheduled for 17:05.
