80' - In next weekend's Round 15 action, the Waratahs play the Rebels in Melbourne (Friday, May 23 at 11:40) while the Lions finish their tour against the Force in Perth (Saturday, May 24 at 11:40)

80' - The Waratahs pick up a full-house of five points for their victory to move to second in the Australian Conference and fourth in the Overall standings.

The Lions lose their third straight match on tour and fail to pick up a point. They stay bottom of the SA Conference and 14th in the Overall log

80' - Not very pretty from the Lions who become the first SA side to lose this weekend

80' - FULL-TIME IN SYDNEY

The Waratahs win 41-13

80' - ROB HORNE gets his second of the night

Foley adds the CONVERSION

80' - Siren sounds in Sydney but the Waratahs are on the attack and they SCORE!

80' - Bad omen for the Lions... coach Johan Ackermann has never (in 10 attempts) won in Australia as a player or coach...

The argument equating daytime rugby with skill execution just died at Allianz Stadium - Scotty Stevenson

76' - Even the Twitter-verse has gone quiet on this match!

75' - More poor play from the Lions as the ball spits out the side of the scrum and a huge hole appears in the Waratahs' backline, but the ball is spilled forward and the Waratahs clear up to halfway

73' - My SuperBru prediction will be helped by a Lions try - but not to be as the Lions knock on while on attack

The match has lost its structure completely now

72' - Really messy by both sides now as the seconds tick away until full-time.

The Waratahs are looking for back-to-back wins for the first time since Weeks 2 and 3

70' - 10 minutes to play in Sydney

68' - More scrappy play from the Lions as they look to end the match on a high

Last weekend against the Highlanders they looked down and out at half-time but mounted a stirring comeback

Not so much today...

QUADE COOPER OUT

While things are looking good for the Waratahs, they aren't as rosy for the Reds, Wallabies and Quade Cooper who has just been diagnosed with grade-3 AC shoulder joint injury which will rule him out of the mid-year Test series against France - and possibly the Rugby Championship

65' - Waratahs have the match in the bag and they start to ring the changes with a short turnaround until their next match in Week 15 against the Rebels - next Friday

63' - Things just got trickier for the Lions with the introduction of former Bulls loose forward Jacques Potgieter...

61' - Foley has the chance to stretch the Waratahs' lead - and he does so!

Penalty to Foley - his sixth successful kick of the match - and the Waratahs are out to a 34-13 lead after 61 minutes

57' - And just like Rob Horne looks for all money that he'll score his second try of the night, but he's cut down from behind and loses the ball forward...

55' - Scrappy play from both sides as the Lions count down the minutes until they will be back to 15 men

BUT WHEN THE LIONS ARE DOWN AT LEAST WE HAVE THE SHARKS!

The Sharks' two centurions from yesterday...

Tahs now cashing in on those meters run and carries made in the first half. More genius from Beale, who has been simply outstanding today - Front Row Grunt

50' - Foley adds the CONVERSION

Waratahs out to a 31-13 lead after 50 minutes

No way back for the Lions today I'm afraid...

DID YOU KNOW?

This is the 13th out of 15 occasions that the Waratahs have scored four tries against the Lions in Super Rugby history

49' - Can't say I didn't see that coming.

The Waratahs' fourth - and bonus point try - goes to ADAM ASHLEY-COOPER

49' - TRY to the Waratahs!

49' - It's the Waratahs at the moment...

47' - Oops, YELLOW CARD for Lions wing Deon van Rensburg as the referee runs out of patience

PICTURE

Kurtley Beale scores his first half try (
Twitter)

44' - Foley adds the CONVERSION

Waratahs lead 24-13 after 44 minutes

42' - Oh dear, poor defence after the break from the Lions sees wing ROB HORNE go in under the posts for the Waratahs' third try of the match.

Chrysander Botha the main culprit for the Lions

Too early to call it game over for the Lions... ?

42' - TRY to the Waratahs!

40' - Change at half-time for the Lions: Derick Minnie off, Warwick Tecklenburg on

40' - AND WE'RE UNDER WAY IN SYDNEY FOR THE SECOND HALF

40' - HALF-TIME in Sydney

Waratahs lead 17-13

40' - The half-time siren sounds with the Waratahs on attack, but amounts to nothing

38' - But it amounts to nothing as the Lions put in a grubber for the backline to chase but the Waratahs beat them to the ball...

37' - Yet another penalty to the Lions. Penalties mounting against the Waratahs. Surprised that the referee hasn't had a sterner word with 'Tahs skipper Dave Dennis

Anyway, the Lions turn down the chance at the three-pointer and set up a 5m lineout

35' - Lions on attack with 5 minutes remaining in the half

Big Will Skelton rumbles forward (

32' - Boshoff cuts the Waratahs' lead to 17-13 with his second penalty of the match

27' - Lucky escape by the home side who counter-attack and win a penalty after Beale is the recipient of a high tackle from Luvuyiso Lusaseni

26' - Boshoff attempts an audacious drop goal from a full 52m out which hits the crossbar!

25' - Foley pops over the CONVERSION and the Waratahs regain the lead - 17-10 after 25 minutes

Good rugby match this, exciting to watch. Should still be a number of tries...

24' - Grubber from flyhalf Foley and KURTLEY BEALE picks it up and trots over

TRY awarded!

24' - TRY to the Waratahs!

Or is it... TMO consulted

21' - Lions awarded another penalty after an infringement from the home side at the maul.

Boshoff makes no mistake in leveling the scores - tied at 10-all after 21 minutes

Lekker Jaco Kriel, die trots van Standerton,Trytime,7-7 after 15 min - Breyton Paulse

18' - Foley's kick is GOOD

Waratahs lead 10-7 after 18 minutes

17' - Waratahs hot on attack again and they win a penalty inside the Lions' 22m

Skipper Dave Dennis elects to take the kick at poles and up steps Foley to do just that...

PICTURE

Waratahs coach Michael Cheika barks instructions during the warm-up (
Twitter)

13' - Marnitz Boshoff adds the touchline CONVERSION

Scores are tied at 7-7 after 13 minutes

12' - Very impressive by the Lions' pack as they maul their way over the Waratahs' tryline.

JACO KRIEL is the last man to emerge with the ball.

12'- TRY to the Lions!

11' - The Lions get their first chance on attack as they win a penalty around the halfway line and elect to kick for touch and set up the lineout - and rolling maul...

PICTURE

Bernard Foley scores for the Waratahs (Twitter)

10' - The Waratahs lead 7-0 after 10 minutes

9' - First try of the match goes to Waratahs No 10 BERNARD FOLEY - right under the uprights as all the Waratahs' pressure pays off.

Foley gets up to CONVERT his own try.

9' - TRY to the Waratahs!

LATE CHANGE

There was a late change to the Lions' starting XV after Courtnall Skosan pulled a hamstring in warm-up. He's been replaced by Chrysander Botha

4' - Waratahs 'try' ruled out due to a forward pass. 'Tahs still on attack...

2' - Waratahs pack outweighs the Lions 928 v 881 (those are kg's people...)

1' - The home side have the first chance to run with the ball as they make good metres into the Lions' half.

Held up over the Lions' tryline. Early escape for the visitors.

0' - AND WE'RE UNDER WAY IN SYDNEY!

0' - Today's referee is New Zealand's Nick Briant - so hopefully no loyalty issues to affect the outcome...

0' - Looks to be a stunning day weather-wise in Sydney
