De Klerk snipes from close in to the line and stretches to to score the try! That followed some more good work by Mapoe and Mostert. The try is converted by Jantjies.
That's the bonus point try for the Lions. How important will that be in the South African conference.
64' - The Lions try something a little different with a little kick into the corner. The ball beats Combrinck over the dead ball line and the Lions wing clatters into a wall outside the field of play. OUCH!
The Cheetahs have a 22m drop-out.
60' - The Cheetahs win a penalty and opt to take it quickly but brilliant play by De Klerk forces an error from the Cheetahs as they hold on and the Lions are awarded a penalty. Jantjies sets up a lineout in the Cheetahs 22m area as the look for the bonus point try.

The Cheetahs earn a short arm free kick at scrum time and send the ball wide for one final roll of the dice. They make valuable yards before loosing he ball forward. They scrum down for hopefully the last time tonight.
Blommetjies goes for the chip and chase and he nearly re-gathers, but knocks it on when Jantjies contests. They scrum down in the middle of the park on the Lions 10m line.
CONVERSION, CHEETAHS, VAN WYK, 17-40: A great kick from he replacement number 10. He was right up agains the touchline there.
TRY, CHEETAHS, PRINSLOO, 15-40: The inevitable driving maul earns the flanker his second five pointer of the night.
The Cheetahs earn a penalty just 10m out from the Lions try line. They tap and go, with the forwards smashing it up to the 5m line. The Lions concede another penalty for a high tackle. Van Wyk sets up the line-out just 5m out.
CONVERSION, LIONS, JANTJIES, 10-40: That is eight from eight for the number 10.
TRY, LIONS, DE KLERK, 10-38: If anyone deserves a try tonight it is this man! He has been all over the park. The number nine jumped over from just 1m out after Mapoe made another great break.
This time the Cheetahs collapse the maul. The Lions set it up again via the line-out, but the Cheetahs defend well and legally. The ball goes out wide and Combrink sees a gap, puts the ship through but the ball wins the race out the back of the field.
Again the Cheetahs are off their feet at the break down. Jantjies sets up a line-out just 5m out. The writing is on the wall here!
De Klerk punches above his weight at the ruck and earns a turnover penalty. Jantjies sets up the line-out on the Cheetahs 22m, but Prinsloo stealS the line-out! Van Wyk clears but it is that man de Klerk who finds some space out wide!
The Cheetahs are hot on attack in the Lions 22m. They keep it close before the forwards manage to fumble the ball. Skosan pounces and clears well as the ball rolls out near the halfway line.
PENALTY, LIONS, JANTJIES, 10-33: The Lions compete well at the breakdown to earn a penalty.
CONVERSION, CHEETAHS, VAN WYK, 10-30: Is this the start of a comeback?
TRY, CHEETAHS, PRINSLOO, 8-30: After setting up the line-out it is the Cheetahs turn to try the rolling maul, which they execute perfectly for the try.
After a horrible night in the scrum, the Cheetahs somehow produce a tighthead! They are now hot on attack inside the Lions 22m. The Lions steal it, but van Heerdan blasts his whistle. There is a break in play as he checks with the TMO about an off the ball incidents.
YELLOW CARD, LIONS, COETZEE: The hooker clearly picked up Benjamin in the tackle and took him past the horizontal. The replacement winger is ok, and Coetzee trots to the naughty chair.
CONVERSION, LIONS, JANTJIES, 3-23: The fly-half''s kicking from the tee has been superb this evening. That is six from six.
The home side earns a penalty after the Lions put their hands in the ruck. But Brummer tries to bite off more than he can chew with the kick for touch and the Lions have a 22m drop out.
TRY, LIONS, SKOSAN, 3-28: A pass from Blommetjies goes astray on the halfway line and Mnisi pounces, gaining yards and getting the offload to Kriel, who draws two defenders and gets the pass away for the winger is over in the corner. Great work!
Blommetjies gets the second forty underway, kicking deep.

TRY, LIONS, MAPOE, 3-21: What a well worked try! De Klerk slid through a gap and sold a dummy, before slinging a pin-point pass infield for the flying centre.
The Lions swoop on the ball an are hot on attack!
They pack down once again on the Lions 22m line after a Cheetahs knock on. This time it is steady and de Klerk clears down field.
PENALTY, LIONS, JANTJIES, 3-16: This could be a long afternoon for the Cheetahs if they don't clean up their scrum errors.
Yes they can! That is a third penalty at scrum time. Van Heerdan threatens captain Uys with yellow card. The Cheetahs forwards trundle toward the poles with their tails between their legs.
The Lions make easy metres up to the Cheetahs 22m line. The tackled player goes to ground and van Heerden awards a scrum to the Lions. They were quite lucky there, as the Cheetahs contested well. Will the Lions scrum continue to dominate?
The dominance at scrum time continues for the Lions as they earn another penalty. Jantjies sets up the line-out on the halfway line.
CONVERSION, LIONS, JANTJIES, 3-13: A great kick from the far side touchline gives the Lions a commanding lead.
TRY, LIONS, KRIEL, 3-11: The driving maul pays dividends once again for the Lions! It is almost too easy from that distance.
The Lions earn a scrum penalty after a couple resets. De Klerk taps it out to set up the line-out just 5m out. I think we all know what's coming here...
De Klerk takes quick tap and snipes through a gap before offloading to Jantjies. Whiteley then takes it to just 2m from the line but a forward, acting as scrum-half, makes a silly knock on at the back of the ruck.
There is some ariel ping-pong and Rhule eventually puts it out on the Lions 10m line. The Cheetahs steal the line-out and gain some metres, but they knock it on after a 50/50 offload. Scrum time.
The Cheetahs are finally enjoying some territory and possession here, as Prinsloo takes it up the park. But the LIons defence is resolute and Blommetjies is eventually bundled into touch on the Lions 22m. They secure the line-out and Jantjies finds a great touch on the Cheetahs 10m line on the other side of the field.
PENALTY, LIONS, JANTJIES, 3-6: The Cheetahs are penalised at ruck time and the number 10 makes them pay.
The Lions steal the line-out! They are retain the ball well but the Cheetahs defence is standing firm, giving up very few metres. De Klerk eventually opts for the chip over the top, which Blommetjies fields and clears up the line. Mapoe grabs it and here we go again...
The Cheetahs are hot on attack but they loose the ball forward. Skosan takes advantage and finds space out wide. There are a couple great switches involving Kriel and de Klerk to keep the ball alive. They power it up into the Cheetahs half but and errand pass goes over the near side touchline on the Cheetahs 10m line.
The Lions work the ball up well before the Cheetahs are pinged for being offside. It is on the home sides 10m line but it is straight in front. Jantjies lines it up.
PENALTY, LIONS, JANTJIES, 3-3: Distance was certainly not an issue there.
PENALTY, CHEETAHS, BRUMMER, 3-0: The fly-half puts the first points on the board.
It is a great scrum from the Cheetahs and they ball goes down the back line, with Rhule finding some space. They earn a penalty when the Lions infringe at the ruck. Brummer grabs the kicking tee.
A kick from Jantjies goes to out the back of the field, leading to the first scrum of the afternoon, which is just inside the Lions half.
The home side secures possession and Brummer finds a great touch inside the Lions' half.
There is some enterprising play from the visitors, with Mapoe sniping through a gap in the midfield. They recycle well and Kriel puts Skosan in a gap. He is brought down on the Cheetahs 22m line. But they turn it over and Brummer clear well.
Referee Jaco van Heerden signals the start here in the City of Roses, with Jantjies kicking from left to right.
Lions boss Johan Ackermann has made several changes to his starting XV. In the forwards, Ackermann has chosen to start Jacques van Rooyen and Ruan Dreyer in the front row. Andries Ferreira will partner Martin Muller as the lock pairing, while Warwick Tecklenburg returns to the run-on side at blindside flank. In the backline, Courtnall Skosan returns to start on the left wing which results in Ruan Combrinck shifting back to right wing. Howard Mnisi comes into the starting side and links up with Lionel Mapoe in the midfield, as Mapoe shifts back to outside centre from the wing.
It is a beautiful day for rugby in Bloemfontein. It is slightly overcast, but there is no rain predicted.
Hello and welcome to our coverage of this afternoons Super Rugby match between the Toyota Cheetahs and the Emirates Lions.
Cheetahs boss Naka Drotske has made four changes to his run-on side. Regular captain Francois Uys returns to the starting line-up at lock with Steven Sykes dropping down to the bench. The only other change to the pack sees Carel Greeff starting at openside flank in place of Tienie Burger, who misses out due to concussion. Henco Venter comes onto the bench as loose forward cover. Amongst the backs, Cornal Hendricks and Raymond Rhule return to the starting line-up on the wings in place of Sergeal Petersen and Rayno Benjamin respectively.
