Well done to the Bulls who thoroughly deserved their victory!
Springbok flyhalf Handre Polllard was simply sublime and again showed maturity beyond his years. He would be my man-of-the-match.
78'- Another Bulls penalty at scrum time. It's on their own 22m area and Pollard kicks it far down field...
One last chance for them grab that bonus point...
75'- But a poor pass from Willie le Roux is intercepted by Visagie.
Le Roux then runs back and almost interceps it back himself! But unfortunately he can't hold on...
Stegman, Labuschagne and Pollard huge for the Bulls. Coenie colossal for Cheetahs— Andre'-Henri Le Roux (@OllieLeRoux) March 7, 2015
Stegman, Labuschagne and Pollard huge for the Bulls. Coenie colossal for Cheetahs
71'- CONVERSION slotted by Pollard.
Cheetahs 20-39 Bulls
69'- Another penalty in range for the Bulls as the Cheetahs go off-side. Referee berry now gives the Cheetahs an official warning.
Pollard sets up an attacking lineout...
Handre Pollard really is something special. Still think Heyneke should have stuck with him on the end of year tour.— Simon Borchardt (@SimonBorchardt) March 7, 2015
Handre Pollard really is something special. Still think Heyneke should have stuck with him on the end of year tour.
67'- The Cheetahs with another attempted driving maul close to the Bulls tryline, but this time the defence is better and the Bulls turn if over...
64'- DROP GOAL slotted by Pollard from about 40m out.
Cheetahs 20-32 Bulls
61'- PENALTY slotted by Pollard.
Cheetahs 20-29 Bulls
60'- CONVERSION slotted by Pietersen.
Cheetahs 20-26 Bulls
Cheetahs 48%-Bulls 52%
53'- PENALTY slotted by Pollard.
Cheetahs 13-26 Bulls
47'- Cheetahs again building some phases inside Bulls territory, but a knock on ends a promising build-up.
But the Cheetahs have definitely come out firing in this second half. They are not giving up.
Why would anyone contest a ball when it ends in a penalty? Refs need to gain some sanity. #ssrugby— Brenden Nel (@BrendenNel) March 7, 2015

How is that a penalty when Kriel was going for the ball? It's actually not worth contesting in the air anymore.— Simon Borchardt (@SimonBorchardt) March 7, 2015

Penalties for challenges in the air are getting silly. Almost not worth contesting kicks that you've chased.— Sean Wilson (@SimplySean_) March 7, 2015

44'- TMO CALL
Referee Berry this time goes to the TMO after a collision in the air between fullbacks Kriel and Le Roux.
That is that from Bloemfontein as the Bulls win 39-20 against the Cheetahs. Their first away game of the season and it is a victory on the board to go into their bye week in good spirits. Thanks for following with us. Next up, the Stormers v Sharks.
Still the Cheetahs give everything in attack, with the shackles well and truly off in the closing minutes. They're trying all kinds of flicks before the tackle now and work their way to within 20.
The Cheetahs aren't throwing in the towel and run hard over the halfway line. Can Le Roux collect this loose ball and set off for the line down the left wing? No, unfortunately for him he can't.
CONVERSION, BULLS, POLLARD. 20-39. He's had a fine day.
TRY, BULLS, SERFONTEIN. 20-37. And here come the Bulls now with a line-out ten metres from the Cheetahs line. They'll look for their third try here and get it. Serfontein on the angle.
The Cheetahs look to respond and set up camp about 20 or so metres out. The Bulls are strong in defence once again though and eventually nick possession before they win a ruck penalty.
DROP-GOAL, BULLS, POLLARD. 20-32. So the Bulls do have a decent buffer and are looking to extend that, with Pollard in the pocket for the drop-goal. No pressure on him, easy points.
PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD. 20-29. Simple points for the Bulls as flanker Prinsloo is caught offside after a knock-on.
CONVERSION, CHEETAHS, PIETERSEN. 20-26. Great kick.
TRY, CHEETAHS, PRINSLOO. 18-26. It's side entry from the Bulls at the line-out that hands the Cheetahs a big opportunity from five metres out. And they're over. Prinsloo is the scorer.
Still two scores separate these two teams though, despite the latest penalty from Pollard, as we pack down on halfway. It's Cheetahs ball with plenty of width on offer should they use it.
PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD. 13-26. Oupa Mohoje gifts a chance to the Bulls from distance as his leaves his foot in at the ruck. Here's Pollard with a long-rage kick. What pressure?
Poor from Le Roux as he chips over the top in the Bulls 22 when keeping the ball in hand was the better option. His kick goes straight into touch too so a double setback for the hosts.
It doesn't look likely at the moment as strong defence keeps them at bay 30 metres out. Here comes Dean Greyling and Marcel van der Merwe in the Bulls front-row. Sizeable props.
Kriel is now penalised for taking out Le Roux in the air - harsh as his eyes were on the ball only. But that's gone as the home side now look to attack from halfway. Can they get over again?
CONVERSION, CHEETAHS, PIETERSEN. 13-23. Two more.
TRY, CHEETAHS, RHULE. 11-23. Out of nowhere. Rhule slips through and then beats Kriel en route to the try-line. Fine score.
The Cheetahs have the early possession and territory though, setting things up about 30 metres out. It's good Bulls defence though as they let nothing through.
Welcome back to coverage of this game from Bloemfontein where the Bulls lead by 17 points after a positive first-half. Pollard gets us going with a kick-off to his left up to the 22.
Half-time: Cheetahs 6-23 Bulls
PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD. 6-23. Wow. The Cheetahs have been denied a penalty on halfway as Mienie was clearly taken out off the ball, freeing up space for fly-half Pollard to break. From that, Le Roux offends so it's an easy shot for the Bulls.
Another opportunity for the Bulls here, 30 metres out, with the whole width of the field to work with. Serfontein sets a platform but Nyakane is penalised soon after for hands in at ruck time.
CONVERSION, BULLS, POLLARD. 6-20. Another good kick.
TRY, BULLS, BASSON. 6-18. Brilliant from the Bulls as from Strauss' bust up the middle they go left to where Basson is on hand to finish very well down the sideline. Big try for the Bulls.
PENALTY, CHEETAHS, PIETERSEN. 6-13. A swift response from the Cheetahs as Spies is caught offside by referee Berry.
PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD. 3-13. He's in fine form today.
More woe for the Cheetahs at the scrum though as prop Danie Mienie is penalised, which allows Pollard a shot from distance.
Willie le Roux is proving to be a rock at the back for the hosts under the high ball as again he collects and clears well. Bulls ball on halfway now in what's been a fast-paced 25 minutes.
End-to-end stuff but Pollard does well to get back and save his side, diving on the loose ball. And now the fly-half drills a great kick into the Cheetahs 22, over the head of the returning Rhule.
CONVERSION, BULLS, POLLARD. 3-10. A simple two points.
TRY, BULLS, POLLARD. 3-8. There's the first try of the game. A show and go from ten out and Pollard powers over the line.
The Cheetahs are again penalised at the scrum, this time it is Coenie Oosthuizen pinged, which allows the Bulls to get up to the hosts' 22. They might look to maul the upcoming line-out.
Cheetahs line-out bang on halfway now, which they maul soon after. Now they go to the air but Bjorn Basson collects it well.
PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD. 3-3. We're all locked up as the Cheetahs are penalised at scrum time. An odd call as it looked very much like Trevor Nyakane was the prop under pressure.
So the Cheetahs are down to fourteen men for ten minutes and are about to throw in near halfway. Time for smart rugby, here.
YELLOW CARD, CHEETAHS, RHULE. Poor from Raymond Rhule as he takes out Jesse Kriel in the air. Yellow all day.
The Bulls are pinged again by referee Stuart Berry, this time side entry is the call near the halfway line. That results in a line-out about 20 metres out so another chance for the hosts.
PENALTY, CHEETAHS, PIETERSEN. 3-0. Deon Stegmann has hands in the ruck so an early penalty from bang in front.
Pietersen kicks us off in the sunshine and the hosts secure a scrum put-in immediately due to holding up the Bulls. Chance.
Bulls head coach Frans Ludeke has named the same starting side from last week's win. Piet van Zyl comes onto the bench.
Late change for the Cheetahs as Pretorius is ruled out. He is replaced at 9 by Tian Meyer. Shaun Venter is on the bench.
Hello and welcome to our coverage of the Cheetahs vs Bulls clash from Bloemfontein. The hosts are two wins from two so far this season while the Bulls bounced back after two losses with a victory over the Sharks last week. Team news to follow.
The Cheetahs have made just one change to their side with Boom Prinsloo coming into the team in place of the injured Willie Britz. Sarel Pretorius and Joe Pietersen are 9 and 10.
