Kolisi the 'perfect' average?

Cape Town - With little over a month to go until the start of the 2014 Vodacom Super Rugby tournament, it's fun fact time!

Did you know that in 2014 the "average" Super Rugby player will be 187cm tall and weigh 103kg?

The closest players to these measurements are: Chiefs flank Sam Cane (186cm/103kg) and Stormers counterpart Siya Kolisi (187cm/102kg).

Although not all of the squads have been confirmed, the heaviest players are expected to be: Ben Tameifuna (137kg), Will Skelton (135kg), Paul Alo-Emile & Jamie Mackintosh (130kg) and Ofa Tu'ungafasi & Coenie Oosthuizen (129kg).

Highlanders scrumhalf Fumiaki Tanaka is both the shortest - 163cm - and lightest - 75kg!

Following Andries Bekker's move to Japan, the Crusaders' Dominic Bird - at 2.06m - is now the tallest player in the tournament.
