Cape Town - New Springbok Sevens star Cheslin Kolbe says his focus in the near future will be on the 15-man code.
The fleet-footed Kolbe impressed for the Blitzbokke in the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Moscow over the weekend, and was also a star at fullback for the Baby Boks in the recently completed Junior World Championship.
However, in an interview with Die Burger's website, the 19-year-old admitted he will put sevens rugby on the back burner for the foreseeable future.
He will instead shift his attention to his two-year contract with Western Province.
He is yet to make his Super Rugby debut, but was included on the Stormers bench for a game against the Sharks earlier this year.
"I'm not sure where I will slot in this year. I'll likely know within the next week or two. Whether it's at the junior or senior Currie Cup squad, doesn't really matter to me. I'll only give my best. I'm ready to get back to the playing field as soon as possible," said Kolbe.
