Port Elizabeth - According to EWN Sport's website, Sergeal Petersen has been withdrawn from the Kings team for their Super Rugby match this weekend against the Bulls in Port Elizabeth.

Petersen sustained a groin strain in training and has been removed from the starting line-up as a precautionary measure.

The loss of Petersen means that Marcello Sampson will start, while Scott van Breda has been called in to the replacements.

Kings captain Luke Watson said although Petersen's loss was a big blow, he believed his team had enough depth to cover for the 18-year old winger, who has been a revelation for the Kings this season.

“He’s a quality player and his x-factor on the field helps quite a bit. We’ve got enough guys in the squad that know the system and hopefully can do the job,” Watson said.
