Port Elizabeth - The Kings have ruled Jacques Engelbrecht out of the game against the Highlanders on Saturday (kick-off at 17:05) following a bad sprain of his ankle in the game against the Waratahs.
Director of Rugby, Alan Solomons, said that Engelbrecht had been for X-rays for his right ankle over the weekend, and they had come back clear, but that Engelbrecht would need to rest the ankle and as such would not be eligible for selection.
Meanwhile, Solomons said Sergeal Petersen, who has flown out to join the SA Under-20 team on Sunday, sustained a grade two tear to his right hamstring during the match against the Waratahs, and was expected to be out for around three to four weeks.
