Key duo to leave Crusaders

Cape Town - Hooker Corey Flynn and flyhalf Tyler Bleyendaal will leave the Crusaders to further their careers in Europe.

Flynn, 33, has signed a two-year deal with French giants Toulouse, with the 15-capped All Black to leave after this year's Super Rugby competition.

“This has been a really big decision for me and my family, but we are confident that it is the right thing for us at the moment and now that the decision has been made we’re really looking forward to it,” Flynn told the Crusaders' official website.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Blyendaal announced he will move to Ireland to play for Munster at the end of the year.

“I love playing for Canterbury and the Crusaders so it was never going to be easy to make the decision to play rugby for someone else. But when the opportunity came up to play for Munster I couldn’t pass it by. This is a club with such a proud history and it is a brilliant opportunity for me to gain some international experience,” said Bleyendaal.

“I am grateful to all of the players and coaches that I have been fortunate enough to work with here and I am fully committed to the Crusaders and Canterbury for their 2014 seasons.”

The Crusaders hit top form in Suepr Rugby at the weekend when they annihilated the Reds 57-29 in Brisbane on Sunday to move into fourth spot on the overall log.
