Cape Town - Lions fullback James Kamana will appear at a SANZAR judicial hearing in Johannesburg on Tuesday after being cited for a dangerous tackle during last Saturday’s Vodacom Super Rugby clash with the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.
WIN: Bulls vs Stormers tickets
The hearing will be chaired by Advocate Jannie Lubbe (SC) and will commence at 11:00 ( SA time) in the Golden Lions Boardroom at the Johannesburg Stadium.
Kamana is allegedly in breach of Foul Play Law 10.4 {j} Lifting a player from the ground and dropping that player into the ground whilst that player’s feet are still off the ground, such that the player’s head and or upper body come into contact with the ground.
Kamana was penalised with a yellow card for the “tip” tackle on Cheetahs centre Robert Ebersohn in the 60th minute of the match.
