JP wins big in Japan

Cape Town - Springbok wing JP Pietersen's has lifted his first trophy of the season after Panasonic Wild Knights defeated Suntory Sungoliath 45-22 in the Top League final in Japan.

JP Pietersen came off the bench in the 49th minute to help his team to victory over former Springbok team-mate Fourie du Preez.

His Wild Knights team-mates, former Wallabies George Smith and Berrick Barnes, were influential in achieving the win.

Pietersen, who is set to return to South Africa to play for the Sharks during the 2014 Super Rugby season, tweeted the following picture after his team lifted the trophy:
