Cape Town - Wallaby lock James Horwill will join the Reds in Bloemfontein ahead of their Super Rugby clash with the Cheetahs on Saturday.

The veteran lock had initially been left out of the Reds touring squad after being suspended for one week for receiving a red card during their defeat to the Rebels in Round 8.

However, following an injury to lock Dave McDuling against the Bulls in Pretoria over the weekend, Horwill has been drafted in as second-row cover.
