Cape Town - Recently married Stormers flyhalf Peter Grant is "too valuable for the team to allow him a honeymoon at present".
Grant, 27, got married last weekend, but backline coach Robbie Fleck told Die Burger any honeymoon plans for the newlyweds must be put on hold.
"Peter is too important for us to be on honeymoon now.
"The rugby he's currently playing is the best I've ever seen from him.
"He gets the ball over the advantage line, gets our centres into the game and kicks exceptionally well," said Fleck.
Grant has been successful with his last 16 kicks at goal for the Stormers and has played a big role in them winning eight of their nine matches this season.
The Stormers take on the Cheetahs at Newlands on Saturday(kick-off 19:10) and Fleck believes Grant is not far away from the Springbok team, especially with Cheetahs pivot Johan Goosen out for four months with a shoulder injury.
"Goosen was phenomenal for the Cheetahs and will probably be the next superstar of South African rugby.
"But recent statistics revealed at the Bok training camp showed that Peter's statistics are just as good as Johan's," said Fleck.
The Stormers currently lie fourth on the overall log with 41 points after nine games, with the Cheetahs in 10th spot on 26 points.
