Gericke reports at Stormers HQ

Cape Town - Super Rugby strugglers, the Stormers, have confirmed the appointment of psychologist Henning Gericke.

Sport24 earlier reported that the man who worked with the Springboks when they won the 2007 Rugby World Cup, was set to help at the Stormers.

Gericke will on Tuesday join up with the Cape side on a consultancy basis.

Gericke is well renowned in his field and also worked with South Africa's swimming team ahead of the 2012 Olympics, while also working with the Proteas cricket team in the past.

Gericke has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Pretoria.

The Stormers are currently last on the overall Super Rugby log, having won only one out of seven games.

They tackle the Lions at Newlands on Saturday (17:05 kick-off).
