Pretoria - Loose forward Gerrit-Jan van Velze and prop Rayno Gerber are to join the Bulls touring squad in Australia.

They will replace Jacques Potgieter and Frik Kirsten, who sustained tour-ending injuries in the Bulls' 41-35 win over the Rebels in Melbourne on Friday.

Kirsten broke his hand and will be out for six weeks, while an injured kneecap will keep Potgieter out for between six and eight weeks.

They will return to South Africa on Monday.

Wynand Olivier sustained a rib injury and is likely to miss the match against the Waratahs in Sydney on Friday. Either Francois Venter or Johan Sadie will replace him for the Sydney clash.

Van Velze, 24, recently signed a deal with English Premiership club Northampton Saints. He is expected to join them on July 1.
