Cape Town - Jaque Fourie has returned to the Stormers starting XV at the expense of fellow centre Juan de Jongh in the side to play the Bulls in a Super Rugby fixture at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
Stormers coach Allister Coetzee said the two changes in the side are in keeping with the team's selection strategy for the long season ahead.
"It was not a big call (dropping De Jongh) but we are in the rotating phase of our planning in terms of managing players," said Coetzee.
"We have a plan that we want to implement and that's why we make the changes."
The other change to the starting line-up is in the front row where CJ Van der Linde has been demoted to the substitutes' bench in favour of Wicus Blaauw.
"We have noted that the Bulls' bench has always made a huge impact (when they come on) in the last 25 minutes of a game and the opposition need to contain that strength," said Coetzee.
"With this in mind we have chosen our bench very carefully."
Coetzee said the Stormers knew what to expect in the Bullring clash on Saturday but his biggest wish was that the team started to capitalise on the many (scoring) chances that they have been creating in recent matches.
