Flip fit for Bulls' tour

Pretoria - Vodacom Bulls captain Flip van der Merwe has been declared fit following a hamstring injury and will travel with team on their Australasian tour.

Van der Merwe missed the matches against the Sharks and Chiefs, but will be considered for the Bulls team to play the Hurricanes in Wellington on Saturday, their first match on their month-long tour.

The Bulls depart for New Zealand on Tuesday and will have a last training session at Loftus Versfeld before departure.

Morné Mellett (ankle sprain), Bjorn Basson (quad contusion), Callie Visagie (AC joint shoulder contusion) and Waylon Murray (knee) will train.

Louis Fouché will undergo an ultrasound scan for a niggling knee strain.

Pierre Spies (bicep), Arno Botha (knee) and Frik Kirsten (neck) remain on the long term rehab list.
