Pretoria - Bulls fullback Zane Kirchner has been ruled out of this weekend’s Super Rugby clash against the Highlanders at Loftus Versfeld.
Kick-off is at 17:05 on Saturday.
It was hoped that Kirchner, who had a finger operation two months ago, would be fit to face the New Zealanders, but according to team doctor Org Strauss, the veteran fullback will sit out one more week.
Paul Willemse (10 weeks, knee), Cornell Hess (6 months, knee), Frans Venter (4 weeks, groin) and Wiaan Liebenberg (4 weeks, AC joint) are the only long term injuries, Strauss confirmed.
The Bulls, who are coming off a bye, currently top the South African Conference, and welcome a Highlanders team who will be smarting after losing 34-27 to the Kings in Port Elizabeth last weekend.
