    Elstadt denies Japan report

    2015-02-13 08:37

Cape Town - Stormers flank Rynhardt Elstadt has denied a report stating that he could join a top Japanese club.

This comes after a local Cape newspaper earlier this week reported that the Stormers hard-man is likely to join the exodus to Japan.

However, when asked by Netwerk24 about the possible move, Elstadt denied the report. His contract with Western Province expires at the end of October.

Meanwhile, Elstadt was picked in the No 6 jersey for the Stormers' opening Super Rugby clash against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

He says he is relishing the physical battle against their arch-rivals.

"I'm really looking forward to the match, especially because it's a North-South derby. Those games are unbelievable matches to play in. It's where things get physical and where I can prove my worth."

Kick-off for Saturday's derby is scheduled for 19:10.
