Cordingley lands job at Reds

Brisbane - Former Australia and Queensland scrumhalf Sam Cordingley has been named Queensland Rugby's new operations manager.

Reds head coach Richard Graham says Cordingley will start his new role in January, overseeing all operations including player contracts and junior pathway programs.

A veteran of the 2007 World Cup campaign, Cordingley played 22 games for the Wallabies as well as 43 matches for the Reds in two stints from 1999 to 2001 and 2006 to 2008.

Cordingley joined the Melbourne Rebels in 2011, becoming the club's recruitment manager in 2012 and general manager this year.
