Chiliboy extends Bulls stay

2011-06-02 18:41

Johannesburg - The Blue Bulls Company announced on Thursday that Chiliboy Ralepelle has extended his contract with the Vodacom Bulls.

The Springbok hooker, who has played in 18 Test matches and 32 Super Rugby matches for the Bulls, will stay at Loftus Versfeld till October 2013.

The Bulls recently announced the signing of former Lions and Clermont hooker, Willie Wepener, as well, leaving the defending Super Rugby champions in a healthy position at hooker.

"I have played for the Blue Bulls since high school, became a Springbok here and won numerous titles with this team. I am happy to add my weight to those who want to make sure that the Bulls remain a powerhouse. This is my home and my family," Ralepelle said.

Bulls coach Frans Ludeke was pleased with the news.

"Chiliboy is one of our leaders in the team, works very hard and brings international experience to the side. His continued presence will help the Bulls to maintain the high standards they want to achieve off and on the field," Ludeke said.

      Carl Muller - 2011-06-03 15:29

Skaam vir jou naam, ek wonder vir wie skreeu jy.?

  • Kabelo - 2011-06-02 19:15

way to go chili, u know that winners always hang around winners. Once a bull, always a bull regardless of what the cape flats have to offer.

      René Müller - 2011-06-02 21:52

Chilli was a bit accident prone at one stage but seems to be doing just fine lately! In fact he is playing superbly, if he carries on like this, he is a 'must' for the RWC. He only plays like 50 minutes in a game, would like to see him get more playing time! Gary's been the no. 1 hooker at the Bulls, but Chilli in my opinion has overtaken him.

      CliffBradley - 2011-06-03 08:42

René Müller : Jy ken my nie , ek praat nie eintlik so nie , ek is jammer as ek jou beledig het met my comment , dis net dat ek so verdedigind raak as dit by Stormers /WP kom , Ek vra regtig om verskoning - en dit is die regte Cliff Bradley wat nou kommentaar.
