Cape Town - Cape Town - Judgment was reserved on Tuesday in the doping case against Springboks Bjorn Basson and Chiliboy Ralepelle, said the SA Rugby Union (SARU).
"A press conference to announce the verdict will be scheduled by SARU once the committee has completed its deliberations," SARU said in a statement.
Basson and Ralepelle, who both play for the Vodacom Super Rugby champion Bulls, were expelled from last year's tour of Britain and Ireland after testing positive for the banned stimulant, methylhexaneamine.
From this year, methylhexaneamine has been transferred to the list of specified stimulants by the World Anti-Doping Agency, meaning the players can be spared a two-year ban if there is a logical explanation for a positive test.
The tests on Basson and Ralepelle were conducted after the Springboks' victory over Ireland in Dublin on November 6.
They were both provisionally suspended from rugby pending the outcome of the probe, held at SARU's offices in Cape Town on Tuesday.
SARU said the judicial committee was chaired by advocate Jannie Lubbe SC, assisted by Dr George van Dugteren and advocate Rob Stelzner.
In a three-and-a-half-hour hearing, they heard evidence from the two players and from witnesses in Springbok and SARU management.
