Chiefs put Crusaders to the sword
Cape Town - The Chiefs laid down a marker in this year's Super Rugby tournament with a resounding victory over the Crusaders in Christchurch on Friday.

The Chiefs won 26-9 after leading 18-6 at half-time.
The Chiefs scored the only three tries of the match through No 8 Michael
Leitch, wing James Lowe and replacement Liam Squire. Flyhalf Aaron Cruden landed a penalty before limping off the field with a knee injury. His replacement, Andrew Horrell, added a penalty and a conversion, while Tim Nanai-Williams was also successful with a penalty.
The Crusaders replied with three penalties by inside centre Dan Carter.
The Chiefs picked up four points for their victory and moved to the top of both the New Zealand Conference and the Overall standings.
The Crusaders left empty-handed and remained a distant fourth-best in New Zealand and eighth in the Overall log.
In next weekend's Round 11 action, the Chiefs host the Force in Hamilton (Friday, April 24 at 09:35), while the Crusaders welcome the Blues to Christchurch (Saturday, April 25 at 09:35).
