Cape Town - The Chiefs have bolstered their front-row ranks ahead of their Super Rugby match against the Kings in Port Elizabeth on Friday.

Kick-off is at 19:10 SA time.

With the loss of hooker Mahonri Schwalger (knee) and prop Ben Tameifuna (family bereavement), the Chiefs have called up two front rankers from New Zealand to provide cover.

Rhys Marshall replaces Schwalger in the squad, and should find a place on the bench with Hika Elliot expected to start. Michael Kainga, who's part of the Chiefs wider training group, comes in for Tameifuna and could make his Super Rugby debut against the Kings.

The Chiefs are coming off a 36-34 defeat against the Stormers, while the Kings were brave 21-12 losers against the Sharks in PE last weekend.
