Cheetahs end tour on high note

    2015-04-11 15:24

Cape Town - The Cheetahs ended their Australasian Super Rugby tour with a hard-fought 24-15 win over the Western Force in Perth on Saturday.

The men from Bloemfontein trailed 10-8 at the break and looked up against it when the Force scored early in the second half for a 15-8 lead.

But Francois Uys’s charges came roaring back with 16 unanswered points to return to South Africa with renewed hope for the remainder of the season.

The Cheetahs started their tour with a 57-14 loss to the Crusaders in Christchurch, before going down to the Chiefs (37-27, Hamilton) and Brumbies (20-3, Canberra).

In next weekend’s action, the Cheetahs return home to host the Reds in Bloemfontein, while the Force tackle the Stormers in Perth.
