Caylib preferred to Springbok

Cape Town - Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské has selected prop Caylib Oosthuizen ahead of Springbok Trevor Nyakane for their warm-up match against the Pumas in Parys on Saturday.

Drtoské told the Volksbald website that Oosthuizen's form is currently better than Nyakane's.

Former Kings scrumhalf Shaun Venter will start for the Cheetahs, with Sarel Pretorius - who had a shoulder injury - to make his return off the bench.

Venter - who himself returned from a shoulder injury against the Kings last weekend - will play 50-60 minutes against the Pumas, with Pretorius getting between 20 and 30 minutes.

Both the Cheetahs and the Pumas will field 24-man squads.
